Our terms and posting guidelines are designed to help provide a safe and pleasant Internet environment where people can openly interact and have fun. Most folks know what's appropriate and socially acceptable BUT there are quite a few people who don't respect anyone's boundaries or parameters. These terms and guidelines are posted here as a CYA and for general reference.

Erotic Content Policy
We respect our users' responsibility for the content they choose to share. It is our belief that censoring content is contrary to our policy and one that bases itself on freedom of expression and speech. There are some boundaries on the type of content that can be posted and where it can be posted, clearly stated on this page. The boundaries we've defined serve to enhance our community as a whole.
A limited amount of erotic content is featured by our volunteer Staff within areas of this site. Much of the content is primarily homo erotic in scope and nature. Although the female body is appreciated within the gay and BI community, it is not our focus, ie, erotic content outside of our main focus is subject to our removal.
Uploading and sharing a limited amount of adult photo content by the general membership is permitted ONLY within the groups we have created for that purpose. “If they look under the age of 25 don’t upload them.”
You may not create new groups or photo album collections for adult content. Uploading or embedding porn videos from other sites within your profile, photo albums, blogs, groups and forums is not permitted. We do not allow content that exists for the primary purpose of monetizing porn content or driving traffic to any pornography site.
We have zero tolerance policy against child pornography, and we will terminate and report to the appropriate authorities any user who publishes or distributes child pornography. Members may not publish written, image or video content that promotes pedophilia, incest and bestiality.
Nigerian scammers have become a serious problem on the Internet, targeting all social networks. All new members’ profiles and their ISP connection location are reviewed before being approved. An ISP connection location does not tell us your exact physical address, just a general location. After going through our 2 step approval process you'll be able to explore the site, view profiles, upload photos, post and submit friend requests.
The staff will never ask you for any personal financial info nor we will ask for any money or donations. Your first name, city, state, date of birth and email address are required when you register. We do not ask for your last name, mailing address, telephone number, credit card numbers, passwords or any other personal information.
Registration
Signing up under the anonymity of a proxy server is prohibited. Register with an established email account to receive your notifications. GMAIL, Yahoo or a secondary email address you use from your ISP is preferred. Microsoft Hotmail and their Windows Live email accounts are not recommended as Microsoft mail servers give social network notifications a low priority resulting in slow delivery to you. If your email address is on any blacklist we'll delete your account. Using email accounts from other social networks and "shared hosting accounts" isn't recommended since most won't accept notifications from other social networks.
Once registration is completed and submitted you will automatically be sent an email with a link asking you to VERIFY your new account. Be sure to click the link to VERIFY your account right away. Look in your bulk mail folder for this important email from PozVille PozQueers. ADD membership@pozville.org to your approved email contact list.
Duplicate Accounts
The Internet has also become a place where a few think they can behave any way they want without any respect or regard for others' feelings, parameters and boundaries. Don’t create duplicate accounts or use our network to have "multiple personas", play games or engage in prohibited activities, you’ll be caught and blocked - your IP address is exactly the same. Signing up and logging in under the anonymity of a proxy is not allowed and can only mean one thing - you’re trying to hide your real IP address. Give it up, this won’t work either.
You are allowed one user account per lifetime. If you are in a situation where you are going to be sharing an IP address with your room mate, partner, or significant other, let us know before we catch you.
User Names, Content, Boundaries & Parameters
Usernames and first names shouldn't be vulgar, obscene or sexually suggestive. The monikers MACHOMAN DINGO and KEYSMAN may not be used as part of your nickname. Names that may be confused with official staff and mascot names are not allowed.
Usernames and first names that promote any of the following are prohibited: brutal violence, coarse language, domain names and websites, ethno cultural slurs, racial slurs, scatological slang, substance abuse and violence.
Because of Internet escort, scammer and spammer schemes, you are prohibited from making your profile private. Spamming, phishing and scammer activity is on the rise on all social networks. Beware of people who ask you for money, personal information, send you links in private messages or who may ask you to text them on a mobile phone. If it does not seem right, it probably is not. Trust your instinct.
Any person who negatively mentions another member publicly will have their profile DELETED without warning.
We have zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, heterophobia, and hate mongering.
Do not join this community if you are easily offended by others opinions, beliefs, lifestyle or adult content. If you see something here that offends you just don't view it anymore.
HATEFUL CONTENT: Users may not publish material that promotes hate toward groups or individuals based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation and gender identity.
VIOLENT CONTENT: Users may not publish direct threats of violence against any person or group of people.
DRUGS: We do not allow anyone to advocate and promote the use of heroin, meth, and cocaine. There are people who use the Internet to do this.
PORNOGRAPHY AND OBSCENITY: Pedophilia, Incest and Bestiality: Users may not publish written, image or video content that promotes pedophilia, incest and bestiality.
Child Pornography: We have zero tolerance policy against child pornography, and we will terminate and report to the appropriate authorities any user who publishes or distributes child pornography.
Commercial Non Commercial Pornography: We do not allow content that exists for the primary purpose of monetizing porn content or driving traffic to any pornography site.
Advertising & Multilevel Marketing
Using our social network solely for the purpose of doing business for yourself or others is forbidden. We do not allow people to post comments, threads, and infomercials or to send private messages to members that advertise or solicit any products, enterprises, or services. You may not promote your (and others') shopping networks, vacations, paid retreats, dating sites, adult AVS pay sites, adult hookup photo trading groups, affiliate or referral links (including links in your profile and in your signature) or links that lead to click through ads page(s), or post anything asking for a referral. This includes incentives to your affiliate programs, offers for paid sign-ups, redirections to landing pages, luring members to reply directly to you, or any other affiliate related nonsense.
BASIC WAIVER RELEASE of LIABILITY OTHER TERMS
By joining PozVille for HIV poz gay men you also agree to the following:
1) I am an adult at least 18 years of age and have the legal right to view, possess and receive what may be deemed in the location from which I am accessing this list site.
2) I am not accessing this list and or site from a location where what may be deemed sexual material is forbidden by law. I understand the laws of the location from which I am accessing this site and I assume all liability if I violate such laws by entering this site.
3) I will not redistribute other members personal info and images (for profit, without their permission or to out and harm others) to anyone anywhere, including but not limited to minors.
4) I will not share material from this list or site with any person who is under the applicable legal age to view and possess what may be deemed sexual material, or any adult who may find this material personally offensive.

We ask that you take a few moments to consider helping someone else in return. The charities that are very important to Dingo are those that help fight hunger by providing direct services, such as Meals on Wheels and your local food pantries. People who have never needed help from food pantries are showing up at the doors of these places. I have been reading reports that say many food pantries around the country are completely out of canned chicken, ham, tuna and salmon. There's no flour, instant potatoes, jelly, dry milk, oatmeal, grits, canned beans, spaghetti sauce or tomato sauce. Please consider giving something to your local Meals on Wheels chapter or local food pantries.
PozVille is a non commercial not for profit social network. We do not engage in the practice of selling branded merchandise or charge fees for storage, upgrades and use of extra features. We don’t pitch products, sell ads, charge fees, and ask anyone for money or donations. PozVille is hosted on a private dedicated server. We also purchased the software lifetime license used to power this site. Doing so allows us to be totally independent, giving us the freedom of presenting content that's not allowed by SaaS networks such as Ning, Tribes and Social Go.

Freedom of Expressions Censorship and Member Interactions
We encourage everyone to express themselves freely within established guidelines and acceptable social behavior. This community is made up of varying colors and lifestyles. Everyone thinks differently, sensitivities and communication skills vary greatly. Please be considerate of everyone. Think before you post. Personal attacks on other users or authors have no place in any community AND intelligent discussions.
Remember - text isn't always a great medium for conversation. Remember that tone of voice - sarcasm, humour and so on - doesn't always come across when using words on a screen. Be aware that you may be misunderstood, so try to be clear about what you are saying, and expect that people may understand your contribution differently than you intended.
Censuring a member is not an action that we take lightly, or arbitrarily. We are aiming to create and maintain an online experience in line with our values, and we reserve the right to make decisions which we feel support that. In order to uphold these values, our staff may occasionally need to curb abuses that threaten the freedom of expression we encourage or that violate our terms. Our overarching aim is never to curtail conversation, but to create and maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment for everyone.
In short, if you act with maturity and consideration for other users, you should have no problems.
To help us maintain a safe and pleasant Internet environment where folks can openly interact and have fun, we emphasize that you should always treat other members as if they were a guest in your home or as someone you might work with. Although we have rarely had any problems, it needs to be said that harassment (sexual and non sexual), intimidation, trolling, predatory and abusive behavior towards others, privately and publicly, will not be tolerated.
The golden rule here is simple. While we may not always agree with each other, we should agree that it's OK to disagree. Within this community respect the rights of others to have their opinions freedom of expressions and beliefs.
Every now and then someone suggests that we 'censor' words. PozVille is a community for communication, self expression and freedom of speech. We do not censor words.
In short, if something offends you just do not view it again.
Hot Linking
All image and video urls within this site are protected – images and videos cannot be hotlinked to other sites. Feeds, profiles and photos can only be viewed by our members. The Facebook, Diggs and other “Share” features ARE disabled. Our security software does not allow image hotlinking from some file sharing sites and vice versa.
PozVille Software Updates
The software we are using is a new generation of WEB2 interactive social networking software developed by phpFox. PLEASE NOTE that we are aware of a few bugs in the software (and apps), these get reported to our tech support and fixes are applied when they become available. We also are continuing to add new features and apps when they become available. Some we buy and others we develop on our own.
Connecting and Making a Difference
Inviting friends or telling other HIV poz folks about PozVille could make a difference to someone else; they might be looking for like minded souls, that special person, or something they say or share could even empower or help someone else. Please invite friends and others you know into this community, tell people about us in other poz gay men groups and networks you belong to, or put a link to our network within your other online profiles.
Virtual Gifts, Member Levels Activity Points & Video Uploads
Please Note that the Virtual Gifts Feature and Points Features are still in BETA. Gifts can be accessed on the Explore “Drop Down” Menu. We don’t charge any money for the virtual gifts AND we do not sell Activity Points. If you want to send Gifts to others you’ll have to earn your Activity Points first.
Virtual gifts can be sent to other members with a short message added onto the gift. Use them as an ice breaker, flirts, fun pokes ‘n prods, affirmations, compliments, and other fun. If you receive a Gift you are not obligated to send one in return.
Activity points are earned by posting comments and other interactions in the community. Point calculations are usually in real time but may be delayed or reflect inflated (or deflated) figures during other system processes. Activity points are redeemable for Virtual Gift purchases and are subtracted from your accrued earned points. Once you redeem activity points the action cannot be undone.
VIDEO UPLOAD INFO
Use the "Share a Video” function to share your favorite videos. Personal videos should be uploaded to your YouTube account first if you have something you wish to share. Raw video files are storage and bandwidth hogs. Because of bandwidth costs we only allow a few friends and Staff to upload a limited amount of raw video content. The "Share a Video” function DOES NOT use our server's resources.
All videos within the video area are subject to approval and should be unique in scope. Videos with poor picture or sound quality and duplicate uploads are subject to removal. You can always embed videos onto YOUR profile, blogs, and photos.
Only our Staff (and Mascots) are permitted to embed and upload porn videos in Erotic Groups. We don’t allow members to upload porn or embed porn video players because of the risks of malware, viruses and Trojans. The owners of this network maintain a secondary private server for OUR raw video files.
Membership Levels
We do not charge any money for upgrades to higher levels. Membership levels are based upon your profiling and other factors. Extending your profiling, your friendliness to others, being active and or other factors will get you upgraded to other levels. Upgraded members enjoy additional privileges, perks, receive greater exposure, earn more activity points, receive higher size settings for photos, get more storage space, can create multiple albums, batch upload more photos, your photos do not require approval, and more. Upgrades to higher levels are at the discretion of the Staff or Founder.
We allow a few new people with minimal profiling to remain in our network at the Basic level long enough for them to UPDATE their profiling. If they log in more than twice and refuse to update their profiling we remove them. These members are identified with the prefix “zzz” before their first name. Their profiles drop to the bottom of the member directory until they update their profiling.
Members at the Basic level have very limited use of this site. Basic Level members are not able to view others’ profile and photo, post comments, send private messages and cannot view profiles and photos until they have been upgraded for full access.
Featured Members are people who have taken the time to create an above average profile and or have extended their profiling by filling in most of the optional text and tick inputs.
The Gazer level allows you to post images (moderated), comments and private messages with limitations. ReCapcha in private messaging is enabled only at this level. You’ll have access to all areas of the site and will earn activity points.
Extending your profiling, your friendliness to others, being active and other factors will get you upgraded to other levels. Upgraded members enjoy additional privileges, perks, receive greater exposure, earn more activity points, receive higher size settings for photos, can create multiple albums, do batch photo uploads and more.
Upgrades are at the moderators' discretion and are not automatic. It’s based on what we personally observe. If you extend your profiling and want us to review you for an upgrade from the Gazer level to the Stellar level, send a message to Dingo or KeysMan.
The Cosmic level is only for those who have established themselves over a long period of time. Most of our former PQ Snapp Members are upgraded to the higher levels, based upon their prior participation and other required factors.
A Brief Overview of Who We Are
PozVille aka PlanetDingo is a private not for profit alternative social network created specifically for HIV poz gay men, including HIV negative gay men who are poz friendly. HIV poz het (and BI) men and women who are not blinded by others' race, sexual orientation, lifestyle, gender, nationality, opinions, age, physical appearance, beliefs - and who live or are accepting of alternative lifestyles, are also welcomed.
We started out as a small affinity network for poz gay men on Snappville, originally we were known as PozQueers. An affinity network is a group of people who share specific interest(s) or ideals, know each others strengths and weaknesses, and support each other. As we have gotten to know each other, we have evolved into a small online family. What you will discover here are some really cool poz gay men freely expressing what they feel and who they are.
Our goals are to share, connect and empower ourselves with other HIV poz gay men and women who are seeking new friends, experiences, peer support and community. There is a little something for just about everyone in our site. You’ll find a few essential basics on HIV, wellness, updates and other info that might help you deal with issues related to living with HIV. We’re not just focused on living with HIV – it’s also about talking and sharing all the other things in Life that affects us – and having fun as well. Visual arts, spirituality, our pets, video, music, scifi, fantasy, sex, erotica, photos, humor, literature, national issues and politics are just a few of the spokes in the spinning wheels of our community.
We’re totally independent and do not use freemium social networking platforms. We own a lifetime license to use the software, the community is hosted on a private dedicated server, and the expenses are generously funded by Jim and Keith, aka Dingo and KeysMan. We do not charge or ask anyone for donations and fees, nor do we operate this network for any profit. If like what we’re doing and want to help offset the hosting fees please use our Amazon affiliate link, only one banner ad appears on each page of the site. There are no other banner or pop up ads.
PozVille is also a cyber extension of our home and our personal website (PlanetDingo). A few members and some staff are people we personally know from the physical world - buddies, friends, associates and extended family - others we have met and befriended online.
